mgk and Jonas Brothers Drop ‘cliché’ Remix

By Alex HarrisNovember 25, 2025

mgk reunites with Jonas Brothers for a fizzy remix of his 2025 hit “cliché,” marking an unexpected but thrilling pop-punk collaboration.

The track brings together four distinct vocalists who trade verses before converging on the song’s anthemic chorus.

This partnership first sparked onstage when mgk joined Nick, Joe, and Kevin for a surprise performance at their Vancouver show in September. The chemistry proved undeniable, prompting the studio version fans hear today.

Drawing from mgk’s lost americana album, which secured his third consecutive No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart following Tickets to My Downfall and Mainstream Sellout, “cliché” blends minimalist guitar work with explosive pop-punk rhythms and shimmering new wave textures.

The original version featured production from longtime collaborators SlimXX, BazeXX, and Nick Long.

The remix arrives during a particularly collaborative year for Jonas Brothers, who have worked with Rascal Flatts, Russell Dickerson, Marshmello and Kenny G across various releases.

Their willingness to explore different sonic territories aligns naturally with mgk’s genre-fluid approach.

Both acts currently tour extensively. mgk’s lost americana tour stretches into July 2026 across North America, Europe, and the UK, with select dates featuring special performances of his 2020 album Tickets to My Downfall.

Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers continue their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour through December 2025.

At select dates, mgk will treat fans to a special five-year anniversary performance celebrating his groundbreaking 2020 album, Tickets to My Downfall, which scored mgk his first #1 on the Billboard 200. The tour’s full lineup, routing, and ticket information can be found HERE.
