Mathilde Widding Releases Stronger and Love (and everything between)

We are thrilled to introduce you to Norwegian artist and songwriter Mathilde Widding‘s first two new releases, Stronger and Love (and everything between). The two tracks offer contrasting and distinctive sounds that showcase her artistry in the most remarkable way possible.

Mathilde draws inspiration from 60s soul music which she blends with her playful vocal signature. Love (and everything between) is a perfect example of this, as she composes a warm soul sound showcasing the breadth of her repertoire. Her powerful vocals meander effortlessly between soulful and jazz sounds, presenting a thoughtful interpretation of modern soul music.

The accompaniments are fully supportive, and although the spotlight is firmly on Mathilde, there are moments where elements of the instrumentals turn up the heat and accentuate the emotions of the track.

Stronger takes a slightly different turn, as it has a more up-tempo beat. Mathilde demonstrates she has the necessary grit, power, and phrasing to effortlessly match the ebbs and flow of the accompaniment with passionate and penetrating vocals.

Mathilde told Neon Music exclusively, “‘Stronger’ is a personal song to me. It’s about different experiences revolving around one´s own value and self worth. ‘Love’ (and everything between) is a straight forward love song and embraces the feeling of true love. During this year I will be releasing my debut album.”

Despite the differences in sound and tempo, one thing present in both Stronger and Love (and everything between) is the authenticity and sentimentality in her voice. Mathilde sings from the heart and has the unique ability to make her listeners feel every emotion.

Listen to Stronger and Love (and everything between) out now.
