There’s something unhurried and quietly golden about Wandering Days, the latest single from Canadian folk-pop artist Martin Kerr.

Built around soft guitar phrases and sparse, tender piano, the track unfolds like a late afternoon spent in the arms of someone who makes the world feel smaller—in the best way.

Kerr’s voice carries a light rasp and a comforting warmth, flowing with a sincerity that feels lived-in rather than polished.

“There’s only so much trouble to get into / There’s only so much danger in this place,” he sings, reflecting on a love that redefines freedom not as movement, but as mutual understanding. It’s the sound of wanderlust giving way to rootedness.

Backed by subtle harmonics and softly layered backing vocals, the production never overwhelms.

Instead, it leaves space for each word to land, echoing the sentiment behind the lyrics: “I found my freedom in just being with you.”

Speaking on the track, Kerr shares, “Settling down doesn’t have to be settling. Being with one person who really gets you… that’s the dream.”

Drawn from his upcoming EP Love More, Care Less, Wandering Days invites listeners to find beauty in quiet devotion, and the kind of stillness that feels like home.

Martin Kerr Wandering Days Lyrics

This couch, your head my chest
One town, one fixed address
You’re where my wild heart lies
Forever ’cause

There’s only so much trouble to get into
There’s only so much danger in this place
I found my freedom in just being with you
Barely even miss my wandering days

Bright lights, don’t catch my eye
Big time, why even try?
You’re where my wild heart lies
Forever ’cause

There’s only so much trouble to get into
There’s only so much danger in this place
I found my freedom in just being with you
I barely even miss my wandering days

So baby put your suitcase
Underneath the staircase
We’re checking in for good this time

There’s only so much trouble to get into
There’s only so much danger in this place
I found my freedom in just being with you
I barely even miss my wandering days
I barely even miss my wandering days
(Ooooo)
I barely even miss my wandering days
