Marian Hill x Tennyson Feeds Our Appetite For Nostalgia On Pretend (2003)

Romanticizing the past is something we do as we get older. Maybe as a coping mechanism for the present. However, no matter how much we want to, we can’t travel back in time. Nevertheless, we can find solace listening to songs that can make us relive sweet memories. Marian Hill with Tennyson feeds our appetite to satisfaction on pretend (2003). An intimate and vulnerable song with succinctly sweet-sounding vocals and delectable lyrics that flow deliciously on the sparse instrumentals sending bursts of waves of sweet nostalgia. The lush atmospheric soundscape adds to the intensity of the song, making it intoxicating. You never want it to end.
