IMANI Keeps Her Options Open With Infectious Single 2,3

IMANI Keeps Her Options Open With infectious Single 2,3

IMANI, the London-based R&B artist who had us jamming to hit collaborations like Don’t Need No Money with Sigala and Fuck Alone, is back in the spotlight with her new single 2,3. It’s a highly relatable and emotional track that offers a deep dive into the turbulent waters of a toxic relationship and how self-love can serve as a lifeboat.

From the first verse, IMANI wastes no time setting the stage: “God knows, F****** with this nigga gon’ drive me crazy. God damn, This nigga got babies, and they still babies.” She sings with a raw honesty that instantly commands attention. The song is a candid expression of frustration, anger, and empowerment as she navigates the complex dynamics of dealing with an unfaithful partner.

But amidst the turmoil, IMANI remains unshaken. She dishes up a chorus that is a defiant declaration of self-worth, singing, “You were just a homie, acting like you irreplaceable.” She also keeps her options open, echoing in the refrain, “I keep 2,3. Baby, I’ma do you how you do me.” The song alludes to the blurred rules of relationships in this present generation.

The song’s atmospheric soundscape, sculpted by a mix of instrumentals, is as evocative as the lyrics. The arrangement complements IMANI’s distinct and melodic vocals, creating an immersive listening experience that takes listeners on a rollercoaster of emotions.

The song’s relatability is one of its greatest strengths. Whether it’s the struggle of dealing with a partner who’s not faithful or the empowering sense of independence that comes from taking charge of one’s life, many listeners today will find their experiences mirrored in IMANI’s lyrics.

We are excited to see what she has in store. Songs like Fuck Alone and 2,3  IMANI prove that she’s not just “London’s secret” but an exciting artist to keep your ears tuned to.
