Enjoy the catchy debut release ‘Who I Am’ from Korean-American artist NIve. His mission is to encourage his listeners to slow down, express themselves, find comfort and be liberated through his music and the multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer certainly does that in this thoughtful piece.
NIve (pronounced Neeve) has released a debut which is about self-discovery and empowerment and is very personal and intimate. He says, “‘Who I Am’ was written after taking years of life lessons and insecurities and turning them into a moment of self-empowerment, understanding that all of those experiences have made me who I am today. And that’s a beautiful thing. ‘Who I Am’ is an opportunity to stop, feel good about yourself and your imperfections, and reflect on how life is both uncontrollable and unpredictable, but in the end, it’s all a part of truly helping you understand who you are.”
Now based in LA, NIve lived in South Korea and Australia and these cultures and life experiences shaped him and his debut which has an upbeat pop feel but lyrically is very introspective.
