Despite having a style that’s firmly rooted in Americana, Lauren Housley was born and raised in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Spending her early years between Rotherham, after moving to Manchester, Lauren developed a cultured appreciation of the Northern music scene, drawing a lot of inspiration from the thriving music culture she was surrounded by. She has since teamed up with childhood friend, Steve Pycroft, where they began hosting a night called ‘Soul Sessions’ at Matt and Phreds Jazz Club in the Northern Quarter.

Lauren and her writing partner, now host a regular event with their country band, Chorlton Country Club on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Carlton Club that offers a similar platform for Country, Roots, Blues and Americana bands, local and international.

Lauren Housley has since released two critically acclaimed albums has opened for the likes of Van Morrison, Jack Savoretti, Vintage Trouble, JP Cooper and First Aid Kit as well as travel the UK playing sold-out headlining tours with her band. Following a break, Lauren has returned with her Nashville inspired anthem ‘My Sleeping Heart’ in which she collaborated with Rotherham musical director Thomas Dibb.
