House of El (aka Kieron McIntosh) releases the visuals to ‘Hard Times’ which is co-written and co-produced with Craze & Hoax. It follows an incredible debut ‘Elijah’ earlier this year featuring Laura Mvula and rapper Jay Prince.

House of El was originally a jazz musician who went on to write and produce for artists including Plan B, Paloma Faith and Chase and Status before releasing his own original music this year.

Speaking about ‘Hard Times’, House of El comments: “This song I wrote on Martin Luther King day, it really talks about the oppression of black people in modern western society but applies to the oppressed people of the world. When I think of my parents being sent for from the Caribbean to a country that didn’t accept them and that ultimately, years later they are still being oppressed by the Government – I think there is something powerful about coming through Hard Times and oppression and these are things that should be celebrated and championed.
