LA duo Cooper & Gatlin have released the acoustic version of their debut single ‘Break’ which is a heartfelt song with gorgeous harmonies and Americana and pop vibes.
The siblings moved from Franklin, Tennessee to Los Angeles in 2014 and have spent the past several years honing their songwriting craft. Their musical influences range from The Kooks and Nickel Creek (Cooper) to Kevin Garrett and Norah Jones (Gatlin).
Cooper & Gatlin’s debut single ‘Break’ is about the expressionless face you have to put on in front of ex-lovers, those who have broken your heart. The music video explores the feelings of not being alright after the end of a relationship. The duo sing in a room which is filled with flowers on the floor, broken glass and smashed furniture, implying that their feelings of hurt and anger were taken out on all of the breakable objects in the room.
