London-born British singer-songwriter Brooke Law releases her new single and video ‘Fight Like A Mother’. The song is about giving everything you have to love your child. Law is influenced by family coming from a very diverse background being Eurasian on her mother’s side and mixed Jewish on her father’s. She began writing songs when she was a teenager and did a music degree at the Institute of Contemporary Music. She was also writing with leading producers who have worked with artists such as Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa and Lana Del Ray.
Law’s music is about various hard-hitting subjects from feminism, equality, societal pressures to her own personal experiences of love and disappointment. Her debut song ‘Hidden’ was released on International Women’s Day this March as a way of commemorating the contribution women have made throughout history that is often not recognised. Law performed the track at the Million Women Rise March to stand with those who have experienced gender-based violence.
Brooke Law says of her new single ‘Fight Like A Mother’, “I’m not a mother, but I know being a mother is the hardest ‘job’ in the world. No one is taught how to raise someone and everyday mothers are making choices for their kids. Mothers make these choices with all their heart and power. If women were recognised more, maybe there would be equality within the sexes.”
Law delivers her new song with passion and hope through powerful lyrics and visual approach. It is a positive message of encouragement for many people around the world.
