BadmintonLeeds Trio Badminton recently unveiled the visuals for their track ‘I Was, You Were’ and it’s a fun and rollicking ride. The band (Robbie Tooth – singer, guitarist, Dominic Marshall  – guitarist, Tom McAndrew – drummer) has been writing together since 2015, releasing their first few tracks under the name of Friends of Friends. These tracks were picked up by BBC Introducing East Midlands and they started playing some shows around the North, quickly building a buzz and catching the attention of radio, press, labels, and promoters. A small US label with the same name heard of the British band causing a legal battle so the new name Badminton emerged.

Their EP ‘Try Getting A Reservation At Dorsia Now’ consists of 5 tracks, ‘I Was, You Were’ being the second single. It’s uplifting with a melodic guitar hook and is full of energy. Their live performances are vibrant and playful, recent support slots include Glass Caves and Fickle Friends.

Badminton is currently working on their follow-up EP and they had a show at The Finsbury in North London recently with more dates to be announced.
