“My hope is for the song to inspire people to fall in love with whoever they want”
Following two recent packed out performances at The Great Escape 2019, singer-songwriter Vaughan unveils the very personal visuals to his debut single ‘I AM.’
The visuals portray the conflicting feelings Vaughan is relaying in his lyrics through expressions, body language and reflective dancing which was choreographed by Peter Babbage (Vogue, Dance Passion for BBC) and performed by dancer Luke Banifico.
The music video was directed and shot by renowned production company HiLow Films (Shura, Nike, Vice) in Hackney Mashes (which reflects the Garden of England where Vaughan grew up.)
Vaughan describes the thoughts behind his debut video, “I wanted the video to be an honest representation of what I wrote the song about. Highlighting the importance of being forward with your feelings. Falling in love with someone is beautifully terrifying. My hope is for the song to inspire people to fall in love with whoever they want.”
‘I AM’ perfectly encapsulates Vaughan as a rising artist and only whets our appetite for what is to come.
