‘Million Man’ is the first single off the third album from award-winning Australian indie-rock group The Rubens. It is a playful, lighthearted track with an equally carefree music video which reflects the band’s vivacious personalities and high energy.

Every day
I wake up with a hole in my head, I can’t stand it
Every day
someone’s crawling out of my bed, I didn’t plan it
But it feels like I’m the only one for love, I pushed until you told me to jump
You don’t have the words to talk, how to feel
I’m a millionaire
I will do when I can to get me home for that million man
I will do what I can when we get home

Keyboardist Elliott Margin told Billboard who premiered the music video, “We just wanted to do something that reflected the energy and fun of the song… The idea is we’re in New York having the greatest time recording this record and hanging with these dudes (in the studio), so we felt like why don’t we make a video that reflects that and how much fun we’re having.”

‘Million Man’ follows on from the platinum-certified, global hit single ‘Hoops’. The quintet is excited about their forthcoming album release in 2018 as well as a 26-date, 10 country tour. They will be coming to the UK in April for three very special headline shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Speaking about the ‘Million Man, Elliott says, “The song itself kind of came from nowhere, just sitting at the piano and playing whatever came out,” he continues, “As the song developed, the lyrics slowly came and spelt out a story and the rest came from there. The chorus was an easy flowing one, which is rare.”
