The Nest Collective are hosting UnampliFire, London’s largest unplugged roots & folk music festival, which returns to St Mark’s Dalston for the first time in two years. This unplugged, family-friendly event is back for your listening pleasure – a one-day festival celebrating worldwide roots and folk music, with unamplified performances running non-stop across three stages.
For a decade, the Nest Collective has been London’s way to experiencing folk, world & new music, creating a community that seeks unique sonorous experiences in unusual spaces.
The London Bulgarian Choir are headlining this year’s UnampliFire event and they will invite listeners to join them in finding ancient resonance in the depths of the human heart through song.
There will be a broad range of artists to perform in this unique, intimate setting, from Zimbabwean mbira players to Welsh troubadours; old-time blues to award-winning Appalachian music.
UnampliFire will also be collaborating with the Tots Tunes series from SoundsCreativeProjects, bringing singalongs and world music-infused interactive movement and music sessions for kids, babies and parents.
There will be delicious home-cooked food available to purchase as well as London-brewed craft beer, French wine,
Islington cider, and Gosnell’s London Mead.
UnampliFire is a family friendly event and children get free entry.
Tickets are £12 – 25 online or £28 on the door
